Dr. Vanessa Amezquita PT, DPT
Physical Therapist
Vanessa was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. After graduating from UNLV, she went on to studying at the University of St. Augustine in San Marcos, CA where she completed her doctorate in physical therapy in 2022. Since her time in undergraduate education, Vanessa has been passionate about pelvic floor health, especially sexual dysfunction, pregnancy, and postpartum care.
Being raised by her Catholic, Hispanic family (and four younger brothers), no one wanted to hear about what was going on “down there.” She had bouts of her own pelvic floor dysfunction for years without knowing the true root cause, but too much embarrassment to talk about “down there” going awry. Now she’s a glutton for pelvic health knowledge and will share all she knows with anyone and everyone (her brothers would now say “a little too much”). Vanessa hopes to be a catalyst of inclusive, accessible, and systemic change that normalizes pelvic floor discussions, awareness, its research and being treated without shame or reservation.
Outside of the clinic, Vanessa is passionate about traveling, gaming and her family. Her favorite pastime is defeating her boyfriend in Magic the Gathering (or any game really) while being cheered on by her cat, So Kno, and her dog, Obi Wan Cannoli.
Vanessa is trained to treat patients with vaginal or penile anatomy.
