Dr. Dayna Huor, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist
Dayna received her Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science with a minor in Chinese language from the University of Iowa in 2018. After spending her college years leading and teaching classes for the University of Iowa Dance Club, working as a personal trainer, and leading kickboxing group fitness classes, she moved to North Chicago, IL where she completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in 2022. As she developed an interest in pelvic health during her program, she completed additional certifications and finished her clinical training at Origin Physical Therapy in Brentwood, where she further cultivated her passion for empowering women through deepening their mind-body connection in all phases of life and healing, especially surrounding the experience of motherhood.
Growing up in Davenport, IA, Dayna was an avid gymnast, dancer, and martial artist. Dedication to her craft eventually led to opportunities to perform on America’s Got Talent, Ellen Degeneres, a commercial for Nike, and independent films - as well as the chance to compete and perform at various venues across the country. Through her life experiences as a young athlete, professional performing artist, and woman of color, she grew very aware of how these pursuits can have an impact on the whole person. Therefore, Dayna has committed herself to contributing to the global shift towards mental health awareness through spreading knowledge and understanding of mindfulness, and promoting holistic health practices to facilitate healing within physical therapy. In her free time, Dayna enjoys dancing, reading, spending time in nature and spending time with loved ones (including her cat).
