Dr. Cecilia Estrada, PT, DPT
Physical Therapist
Cecilia Graduated from UTMB with her Doctorate in physical therapy in 2010. This is Cecilia’s second career as she was a physical education teacher for 9 years prior to going back to school to live her life long dream of becoming a physical therapist.
Cecilia’s physical therapy career has consisted of working in a variety of settings that include: hospitals, home health and as a travel physical therapist. Cecilia completed a Critical Care fellowship in 2016 at Houston Methodist Hospital and continued to work in the ICU after its completion. Cecilia became interested in becoming a pelvic floor therapist, after being a patient and realizing the value of this type of therapy first hand. As a former Pelvic floor patient, Cecilia brings an understanding and compassion to all her patients and is eager to work with patients with a variety of diagnoses, to help them improve their quality of life. Cecilia is a people person, and takes pride in making her patients feel heard and comfortable during their treatment sessions.
Cecilia is a huge animal lover. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and their 3 animals, going to concerts (music is her passion), learning to play the piano and having brunch with friends!
